SOLD

Selling a 1979 5.0L Ghia Coupe - My grandmother bought this car new and it only has 22,000 original miles (35,000kms) on it. It's never been hit, never seen snow. Still has all original paint, original black vinyl top with pop up sunroof (it even has the original sunroof cover in the factory storage bag in the trunk). All of the mechanicals are original right down to belts and hoses. The car still runs and drives like a brand new car. The only non original part is that my dad put a stainless exhaust on it because the original rotted out from sitting so long. Still the original spare tire in the trunk too. The first picture is of me standing in front of the car in 1979.

Unfortunately a rat got inside it a couple of years ago and damaged what was a MINT red leather interior. The insurance company wrote the car off so we bought it back, had a provincial inspection and reregistered it. It now has a rebuilt title, but they also wrote a letter to state that the only damage was cosmetic to the interior.

As it stands, we just don't have room to keep it anymore. The car is in Victoria BC and has been it's whole life.

Asking $6500 USD ($8500 CAD)

Here’s a video I took of every inch of the car - tried to show every imperfection

Wow, what a cool survivor. There is something about the 14" wire hub caps and the polished tails that is an eye catcher. GLWS.

Dunno - not as popular as I thought it would be. I thought there’d be a bigger interest in a true survivor - better than a barn find!

Thanks - it’s a great car, just not enough room to keep it or time to work on it
