1983 Mustang Coupe - Street-Legal, Open-Track, NASA American Iron series

1983 Mustang Coupe - Street-Legal, Open-Track, NASA American Iron series

Street-legal road-racing 1983 Mustang coupe; meticulously designed and built over a ten-year period. A strong 302 engine, big brakes, light weight, and go-kart handling make this car an absolute blast to drive. Very well sorted. Drive to the track, the grocery store, or cross-country. HVAC system removed to save weight. Features an extended wheelbase with carbon-fiber front fenders. Beautiful two-tone paint applied by Capley Paint and Body. A growing family and career priorities has convinced me to sell. $23,000 firm. Please, only serious inquiries with cash or certified funds.

Last buyer didn't pan out, so the car is still for sale. This would be a great car to own before the next track season starts! Hint...hint

I'm sure you'll find a buyer... and I wish it was me. If I wasn't getting hammered on my taxes this year, I'd be calling you now.

Good luck with the sale. Still one of the nicest foxes I've ever seen.

Free bump for one of the most well "self built" cars I have seen. Very fair price I would have to say.

No oil cooler or diff cooler, but power steering is routed through radiator tank. Oil temp is stable with the big sump in the pan.

Odd question and I know this thread hasn't been active in a while, but what alernator are you running? Looks really clean. That car is mean though. Love the look of the notch '83's. Only problem was their stock setup.

Thanks Joe! It's gone from being a "chick magnet" to a "kid magnet." Kids love the side exhaust.
