85 coupe in SE Georgia

Before I say anything, this is a bill of sale car, I do not have a title, but nothing is owed or anything stupid on the car. I have ran the vin and there are no liens on this car. In Georgia you can tag/register a car 1985 or older without a title, just a bill of sale will work.

Asking: $1500. or trade for ATV, boat or Jetski

I bought the car and put a starter and a radiator on it right off. I then put an alternator and passenger header gasket on it and straightened out a few things. It seems to run and drive o.k., but will hang up in 2nd if you shut it off in 2nd....it pops right back out when you let the clutch out and give it some throttle, but thought it was worth mentioning. It's a 4 speed of unknown year model, probably early 80s. The driveshaft it to long and should be addressed quickly.

Car has a Mass Air conversion with a 87-newer dash. Seats are not in good shape.

Motor: Appears to be all stock 302 roller motor. Has old truck style thin steel valvecovers.
Trans: 4 speed manual
Rear: 8.8 with either 3.55 or 3.73 gears

Aftermarket stuff:
- old longtube headers of unknown brand (3 bolt flange)
- exhaust shop made h-pipe
- Flowmasters with dumps
- solid motor mounts
- subframe connectors
- Aftermarket rear lower control arms
- sweet flimsy Cobra tag on front bumper

There is a small amount of rust on floorpans and bottom on doors. The quarter glass seals are shot. Also the hood is for a 87-93 car, so it doesn't fit correctly with the front bumper. Also taillights are from 87-newer car, but are not in great shape and passenger side is cracked. Brakes will need some work, they do work but are very spongy. It needs new pins in the drivers door. Headlights only work when in high beam flash position and the key switch is broken, so it needs a column unless you want to make it a race car....

I have nothing to hide with this car and want to be as straight forward as I can be. It's far from perfect, but in my opinion a good starting point and worth what I'm asking.

Car was originally a 4 cylinder car.

I will get engine bay shots when I get home in about a week. The harness is clean, but someone fell in love with some cheap black spray paint. It's on everything.

How much for the hood only? Shipped to 33777 Fl

3in cowl correct? Or is that a 4in?

Also what gauges are those? For sale with the gauge mount?

It's a 4 inch hood. I would trade it for a cowl hood that is made for the car. I'm not parting this car out yet, but I may before long because I'm thinking of swapping the harness and fuel injection stuff into my 70 Mustang..... If you want parts buy it and tear it apart.

You do not want those cheap gauges. They do work, but you can go and buy them at any Advance or Autozone for not very much new.

I may have just found a LS1 swap for the car, so drivetrain will be for sale fairly cheap if we make a deal....

Well, no deal on the LS1, the guy with it thinks it's worth it's weight in gold. I do have paint for the car and may go ahead and sand it down and paint it this week since I don't have a whole lot else to do.

I just bought a 88 coupe with a clean title and am going to swap the motor, and complete efi system (tank, fuel lines, harness, and computer) into it from this car.

I will have the 4 speed and the this car as a roller for sale soon.

As of right now the car as a whole is not for sale.

It really depends on how much of it I have to take to finish the other car. I will post a price once I get it torn down, which is going to be a little while because I'm working on my '70 Mustang trying to get it going for Turkey Rod Run in Daytona at Thanksgiving.

I'd say somewhere in the $350-500 range as a roller. If I have to use the rear, probably $250 for the body and interior....
