I also talked to a friend today and will most likely have two spats to go with the car.

These spats will be sold with the car. You can see the driverside spat missing in following pics.

Love it! Best color by far. I was trying to find one a while back and didn't have any luck. GLWS! Wish I could take it off your hands.

Any signs of rust? Is the Sunroof manual pop up or power?

No rust. This thing is sound. The sunroof is manual pushup. They never had electric ones.

Had a fellow looking for a "late production date 7b" SVO Defined s in the last two weeks of SVO Production ( April 7-21, 1986 ) He is adamant on those dates -

I am an Original Owner of an 86 7b SVO - With Factory Sunroof,Cloth seats -

The guy has been trying to buy mine for the last two years.

I will try and get in touch with him and direct him to your posting -

He will ask the production date I am certain. That and the 7b color is what he is after.

Guy travels according to what he told me a lot so it might take a few days.

Okay thanks. I'll have to check the build date. I was thinking about payin for one of those marti reports. Do you know if they are worth it?

I have one and it is OK - What I liked much better is the Ford Show Parts SVO Certificate of Authenticity. Go to fordshowparts.com. Upper left hand Corner Menu of Home Page - Click - Certificate of Authenticity When you reach that page scroll all the way down to last row - SVO Certificate will be displayed . Follow instructions - Best $40 for Vehicle history - Considering it is From FoMoCo records. Plus you get Spread Sheet of 1986 Models Production by Color and Accessories build.

Also if you never have found your SVO Build Sheet - I found mine BENEATH the DRIVERS Side Carpet on my 7B - Carefully remove your Sill Plate - Then carefully lift carpet with hand - Mine was about 8-10 Inches from edge of Sill Plate lift Carpet. I found mine when my SVO was 8 days old. So your carpet is likely to be somewhat stiff - So be careful. Might be worth the effort to look for.

Have to get back to writing my days work reports.

Good Luck

E. J.

The large, white VCL decal on the driver's door that contains the VIN and other codes will have the Production build MONTH and YEAR, usually located at the top left of the decal.

You can also find the actual production DATE (MO/DAY) on the BUC tag that is attached to the radiator support, behind the driver's side headlamp. Find the BUC tag, usually there are at least (3) lines of code (text) stamped into the tag. Look at the 2nd or middle line of text on the tag and almost in the center of the tag, you should see the corresponding DIGITS for MO/DAY. For instance, if the car was built on January 24th, you will only see "0124" on the BUC tag - no dashes, no slashes, no spaces. You can then comfirm w/ your VCL decal that the month found on the BUC matches the month found on the VCL.

Now you have the complete production build date info.

(*note - the above production date info is not specific to only SVO's...)

Cobra Jet NJ;

Ford also "Paint Stamped" the Actual Build Date - In Yellow Paint - On the Drivers Side Inner Front Fender just over the edge of the Front fender Mounting flange, about 2/3 of the way up towards the Windshield.

As you state it will be a Four Digit number But on the Paint Stamp there will be a "SLIGHT SPACE" - between month and day Such as perhaps O4 08.

On my vehicle, which has always been garaged since day 1 , this stamp has survived. However it is getting faint with age. I have been very careful to protect the stamp on my car over the years. On a high mileage car it may be either completely gone or just barely visible.

I finally found a local who knows how to contact the individual directly who was looking to buy my SVO. I left a detailed message as to your posting on the Corral web site. I am told that the information will be forwarded ASAP.

Hopefully he will contact you soon. He is a pilot and fly's international routes for a foreign airline. That's all I know.

Best of luck !

If this last a couple more weeks, I am very interested.

Cheaper than VHT and works great.
So sticky it will practically pull your shoes off, just like the movie theater
floor..

did ya post it over on Welcome to FourEyedPride.com or The Mustang SVO Forums or http://forum.turboford.org

You may get more interested buyers on either of those sites. I can't believe it has not sold yet though, very nice example of a very clean SVO (and rare color combo).
