1984 Capri RS 418CI 5.8 650-700 HP Show Car

I'm looking to sell my 1984 Capri RS T-Top car. The car has been a project of mine for a few years.

The car is in awesome show condition and had a complete $6,500.00 body restoration which was stripped to a rolling shell. I performed the disassembly and reassembly and the car went to a very reputable restoration shop. The paint job is nearly flawless and there is not a lick of rust on any body panels, door seams, hatch seams, quarters and etc. The paint is top of the line Dupont and the color is 93 Cobra Performance Red. Since the car was stripped everyting was painted including all jambs and engine compartment. The hood is a fiberglass 2.5 cowl hood. I wanted to retain the factory 84 RS appearance and had the silver lower accent color and Capri RS decals done. The eight point bar was installed by the previous owner is tied into the torque boxes and the car does not twist. The roll bar was painted the color of the car at the same time of bodywork and paint.

The interior is also in almost new conditon. It has no power windows, locks, heater box, and etc.

The engine is a professionally built newly assembled never fired 420" 351W utilizing a PRO Power 418 Forged stroker kit, Forged H beam Rods, & Ross Forged Pistons. I had a Cam Motions solid roller 727/714 lift cam ground for this motor with using a Price Motorspot Rev Kit to keep pressure on the roller lifters. The compression ratio is 11. 1 compression. The heads are CNC ported TFS R O-ringed heads, $1,300.00 T&D shaft rockers, Comp Cams Roller Lifters. All ARP bolts and studs were used on this engine. A DSS Main Support system and PRO Windage Tray tie the bottom end together. There is a blueprinted oil pump used as well as a Milodon race pan. I'm running a Danny Bee timing belt set up and a CSI Billit water pump. The intake is a ported Edelbrock Victor and the carb is a Proform 950 race series carburetor. The engine has very good parts in it and There are too many other items to list. The engine alone has over $12,000 easily into it.

I'm running custom stepped 1 7/8" to 2" headers that were also Jet Hot coated.

The rear is a Moser 9" Nodular unit and axles. Aftermarket control arms, springs & bag.

Front end has a UPR tubular K Member and tubular A Arms with HAL 14-175 coilovers and drag struts.

Wheels are true draglites with MT ET Drag 28 X 9's

Sumped tank with Paxton/ Mallory pump and all PRO Lite fuel line from back to front.

Autometer gauges and tach. Using Crane Hi-6 Ignition.

The car needs some items to be completed as well as having some of the wiring completed. I currently do not have a trans built and ready for the car but I have a ATO C4 that I will give with the car that will need to be assembled.

There is approx. 25,000-30,000 invested in this car that you can show and go fast with. I worked for a Mustang perfomance & restoration shop for many years and know these cars inside and out and can tell you it would be hard to run across a quality piece like this one. The car has a clean PA title and I have personally owned this car for nearly 10 years.

I'm looking for $10,000.00 firm for the car but may sell the chassis seperate from the engine. If you are interested lets talk. Please don't contact me if you are kicking tires or don't have the funds.

This car is in totally awesome condition!

A lot of tire kickers but no takers?

I am willing to drop to $9,000.00. I may consider selling the engine and car separtly or I may part the car and body completely out depending on responce.
