1986 LX 5.0 Incredible shape

Here is one of the survivors, unmolested and I am the 3rd owner with the title to prove that. This 1986 Mustang was ordered with no power and sunroof, cruise control and with the 3.27 rear axle with trak-lok. My car was bought in Port St Lucie FL. and had never left that side of Fl until I shipped in to TN. My vehicle is an original 5.0 V8 car with 5 speed that has had the engine replaced at 76.000 miles due to the original owner not changing oil. Engine was replaced by stock unit with low miles and had the Mass air conversion done that had plagued these cars in 1986. This was also done by Matt at Fox body restoration in North Carolina. No fluid leaks of any kind from this car. Only engine modification was the addition of a Ford E303 cam. All other components are stock and work perfect including A/C and heat, all lighting, gauges and interior features. Entire interior was freshened to include new factory seat covers and seat foam along with new factory carpet, headliner and sun visors. Dash, door panels and center console in incredible shape, all vents work perfect, all interior lighting and switches etc .My car started life with a red interior but Matt at Fox Body restoration changed it to the gray color scheme. This car drives great and sounds incredible with a Flowmaster Cat back and BBK H pipe. New tires with 100 miles on them. Trans shifts smooth and precise with new Ford clutch and adjustable cable. Only exterior modification is the Pony wheels. Everything is in excellent driver condition. Paint was redone some time ago and is in good shape, above driver quality but not show. No floor rust or door jamb or deck lid rust around hinges etc, doors shut tight and so does hatch. This 1986 Mustang is in excellent condition and can be driven anywhere. There is nothing on this car that does not work correct. Could use side fender moldings as they are starting to peel. This car truly is one of the survivors.

Guess I need to add there are no smog parts on this car to include pump, piping or cats and no I do not have them.

I saw this car in person at Carlisle in 2009 in the TMI/Fox Resto spot. Very nice car. Best of luck with the sale.

Tough time I guess.

So as not to be confused the car has no cats or smog equipment, it was removed when the X pipe was installed. I do not have these parts.

Really nice looking car. I'm trying to talk myself into coming to see it, you are only 4 hours away. Keep posting more details and somebody is bound to beat me to it. Some questions below if you have the time...

- are the vin numbers painted over inside the front fenders?
- what percent tint are the windows?
- any other pics you can post would be nice.
- why are you selling the car?
- does Fox body restoration have a web page?
- do you have any more details on the motor, year and approx miles?

Thanks if you have time to post any of this.
GLWS
Mark
