1986 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Coupe 5spd

For Sale:
1986 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Coupe 5spd - Texas car. This is a nearly original, 25 year old car that is in good condition, but needs some restoration / minor mechanical work / minor body work. Interior is in great shape. This is NOT a show car by any means, it has typical paint chips, dings, and a couple dents typical with a 25 year old car that has been driven.

Plans have changed and I no longer have the time or money to invest into this car as planned.

For anyone that has serious interest, please PM me and I will provide my phone number so that we can speak. I'm into this car for $8,500 as it sits, so my loss is your gain. Yes, I paid top $ for this car, but it's very difficult to find a nice 4-eyed 5.0 5-spd coupe today that is unmolested.

approx. 114k miles (mileage listed as exempt due to reporting error common with 5-digit odometers)
Original Interior in good original condition (driver's seat bottom cushion spring appears to be broken - easy fix)
Clear Texas title (In the process of titling car in CT)
Flowmaster mufflers and off-road h-pipe are the only non-stock items on this car

Recently replaced items and service under my ownership:
Inner and Outer tie rods and boots (w/alignment)
Motorcraft MT-56 battery installed w/new FORD battery cables
Brake system flush
New serpentine belt
Fuel Filter
New oil pan drain plugs
P/A Performance mini starter

$5,800 w/original 10 holes. Cobra R wheels have been sold.

I've always wanted a real '86 5.0 Coupe, so it's not that I don't want this car, it just that plans have changed shortly after I purchased the car and it doesn't fit in my immediate future.

i have looked at this thread a hundred times ..........man if i only liked red. and it was a vert. (wife wants a vert bad and i have two 86's already a 5.0 lx coupe and a gt)

Needs a rear (rubber) brake line as the rear brakes are not operating fully.
There driver's side fender has a crease / dent
Starter is 25 years old and cranks slowly when hot

Wow, agree with Cobra Jet NJ! So whats the worst part of the exterior...the big dents on both fender arches and drivers side lower rear bumper cover? A/C and everything else work?

Thats a long haul from here but this is tempting.... i just got my 91 coupe i converted to 86 bumpers,etc painted tho,lol.

If you would, pm your absolute, no more haggling bottom dollar on it.
