1983 T-TOP GT

Let me start by saying two things, first, this car has a salvage title. I bought it about a year ago and the previous owner had owned it for over 10 years. The salvage designation happened even before he bought it. The car is straight and is structurally and mechanically sound having been driven by the previous owner tens of thousands of miles. But if a 26 year old car with a salvage title bothers you, then stop reading here. Number two, this car costs me $25 a year to own, so its not neccesary for me to sell. I realize that the economy sucks and it probably won't sell and thats fine. It can go back in the garage. I have put a ton of money into it and I have only put about 500 miles on it since all these parts, if that, I am selling simply because I don't hardly ever drive the car. So if you are still with me, here we go. The car has TONS of nice parts on it. The motor is the stock 83 shortblock, the stock heads have been milled and it has an SSI cam, rhoades lifters and SSI valvesprings in it, The heads/intake have been ported/port matched. 600 Holley w/mech secondaries, longtube headers/straight pipe/flows dumped, performer rpm intake ,etc. The car has the T-5 trans in it that to my knowledge is stock. It has manual windows/locks. Red interior that is faded due to the t-tops allowing the sun in, that and being a 26 year old interior. The car isn't a rocketship but it will set you back in the seat and does all this while idling and cruising very nicely. The car has Aerospace Components Billet brakes on all four corners and has been converted to 5-bolt. The rear is an 8.8 housing with 9" ends. It has 33 spline Moser custom alloy axles, 33 spline Moser spool , 3.73 Ford racing gears and all new races and bearings. It has been blasted and powdercoated black and the tubes welded to the center housing. The torque boxes have also been welded for strength. The shocks are Lakewoods on all four corners(90/10s in front, 50/50s in rear). The rear upper control arms are UPR double adjustables and lowers are UPR single adjustables, the rear springs are 2001 Bullit springs. The car has new Centerline Telstars with new Mickey Thompson DR's on the rear, the fronts are new street tires. The body is excellent, is has one spot behind the pass rear tire that is bubbled and the front nose need reprepped and painted(see pics), it has been this way for over ten years. Like I said, I have put a ton of time and money into this car and just dont ever drive it. There are more parts on it than listed, I am sure I forgot plenty. I may entertain trades so let me know what you have. This is a nice classic car that is getting pretty hard to find. The car cruises down the highway nicely. It runs 2400rpms at 74mph, you can take out the t-tops and set the cruise control and carry on a conversation. Thanks for looking. $6000 OBO

Forgot to add, I have the stock hood. The car weighs 2780 with full interior. The car went 13.9x @ 101mph with the 2.73 gears by previous owner. I have went down the track four times in it and could only muster [email protected] It was pretty hot that day. The car has not been down the track since the 3.73 gears went in. Nice cruising car.
