1985 Mustang GT For Sale

I'm putting up for sale my daily driver 1985 GT.

I am the 2nd owner of this car and have owned it for over 7 years. It has been a GREAT car and has done everything that I could ever want for a true street/strip car.

The list of mods to the car:

72' .030 351
10.3:1 Probe Forged pistons
Mahle rings
ARP bolts
TFS Twisted Wedge Heads with Stage I p&p
Camshaft Innovations Custom SFT cam with matching springs
TFS hardened pushrods
7/16 Comp Magnum RR's
Victor Jr. intake
Holley 750 DP carb

Mac 1 5/8 LT headers w/ matching 2 1/2" H-pipe
Ultra Flow Stainless 2 1/2" Cat Back

8.8 rear end with USA alloy hardened 28 spline axles
New 28 spline Ford Racing Traction Loc
Ford Racing T5-Z heavy duty 5 speed
MGW shifter (best on the market IMO)
King Cobra clutch
Firewall adjustable cable
Zoom Qaudrant
Lakewood 90/10 struts
Strange Adjustable shocks

I just posted the main things done to the car's engine and drive line.

Car has power windows, power door locks, power steering, power brakes, cruise control, sunroof and has a/c that has been converted to R134 (not charged).

The interior I have been changing over to black, so some of it is still red.

Car will not come with the Convo Pro's; it will come with a set of Weld Drag Lites (fat and skinny) with brand new tires on the front, and 3 year old 275/50/15 BFG Comp T/A's on the rear.

I'm asking $8000.00 OBO.

If anybody is at Mustang Week and is interested in looking at the car in person; I'll be at the Hooter's Meet and Greet on Thursday the 23rd around noon.

I'll also be at the Darlington dragstrip later on that day making passes with the car.

Long time no see Jeff!
That means a lot coming from you because I always thought that you had really nice cars

I wish that I didn't need to sell this car, but the new car that I'm looking at is too expensive to buy without money down

Yes, the front and rear seats came out of a 24,000 mile 93 LX. They have been in my car for around a year.

Hindsight being 20/20, I should have bought all the interior out of that car; it still smelled new inside.

I bought the car from a guy that was having a ugly divorce. He bought the car brand new, and his wife knew that it was his "baby", so she slashed a few of the tires and the passenger seat.

He sold the car to me to help pay for his divorce.

The seats other than the tear in the passenger seat looked just like yours.

The heads are Fox Lake Stage I port and polish. I have the flow sheets for them; they flow about what a AFR 185 flows but at 175cc's.

The combustion chamber is around 60cc's; they've been milled only once that I know of at that was done by Fox Lake.

The best it's run on muscle is 7.48 @ 94 mph/ 11.63 @ 117mph. I drove it to the track (45 minutes), and when I left the track I drove it to work (over an hour).

Honestly deep down I don't want to sell it, but if I don't I will never put my race car back together I can't rational spending money or time on my race car when I have the 85 sitting in the driveway ready to go cruising or racing.

Here is a video of the car idling; it's not the best quality, but you get an idea of what the car sounds like.

I understand heater... Maybe you have the wrong car for sale.....lol.... j/K... Less of a headache than a race car... All of my buddies that sold their nice street strip cars and kept there race cars wished they would have kept the street car and sold the moneypit.. I mean race car....lol... TTT for the week..

Come on guys... If anyone is serious about owning a VERY NICE Street Strip car..... Dont let this car get away..... If I had any money.... It would be sitting in my garage.... and I would be driving it...This is a great setup as well......

I can't, the 89 is part of the family. We've owned the 89' since 91', and it's still in my wife's name; plus it's in serious pieces (aka riding 4 jack stands).
