WANTED: Cheap Mustang 5.0/2.3 Auto/Stick LOOK!

Hey guys, here's the deal.

I have owned A LOT of cars over the past 10 years, a bunch of Mustangs and a few other things thrown in. None of the Mustangs EVER let me down or cost me a lot in maintenance. Almost every other non-Mustang has given me some sort of trouble. Therefore, I would like to go back into a Mustang for a Daily Driver.

What I am looking for really is something that doesnt look *too* horrible (not rotten, smashed, etc) and is more importantly VERY reliable. The car basically has to run and drive well, I am more flexible on the appearance as long as it isnt hammered.

I don't care if it is a 5.0, 2.3, 3.8, 2.8 or 3.3 any year from 79-98. Automatic is fine as long as it has overdrive. I commute 25 miles one way to work on the highway. Stick shifts are OK, too.

It also doesn't matter if it is a hatchback or coupe, but I am not partial to convertibles...unless it is a great deal.

If its reliable and drives well, doesn't look like a total beater and will pass NJ inspection - I am interested. I only have a few grand to spend, and will also put up my 1996 Volvo 850 as partial/full trade. If I was to sell the Volvo, I'd want to get about $1500 so that gives you an idea of value. It does need a bit of work but nothing crazy and is a good comfy daily driver, the car just isn't "me" enough to willingly put any money into it.

Please let me know what you have! Pics always helpful! I am located in Morris County, NJ - North Jersey area. I am willing to travel a bit for the right car.
