Very interested but would like to see pictures. Its hard to say what one of them is worth with limitied informantion and no pictures. Also if its a real 100% original SVO it won't have black interior. It will be charcoal grey.

i believe it is grey interior actually. its been a while since i have seen the car.

I bought the car a while back with the intentions of putting a V8 into it. and swapping in a newer dash and front end and hatch ect.

But the more i sit on the car, the more i think i might be better off starting with a regular mustang. I am open to trades for a v8 mustang or even a nice 4cyl. I will try to get you some pictures soon.

Post it on the svoca.com web site. There will be alot more interest over there. Don't hack it up. Leave that car original and find another donor car to hack on and race. SVO's are getting rare and will bring a pretty penny if in good running condition.

Ok, i have had multiple emails inquiring about the condition and requesting pictures. My camera took a crap on me so i ordered a new one, as soon as it gets here i will post pics. As far as condition, the cars previous owner, my boss, used this car as a daily driver, he lives about 45 miles from work, so the car has a lot of highway miles. The positiveside to this if there is one, is that the car is in very good condition it looks like a 60k mile car except its got a few more rock chips. The only thing wrong with the car is the spoiler is cracked and the car has an exhaust gasket leaking.

i'm more interested in price. if the price is right i'm not as concerned about seeing pics?

There 3 types of work I offer!
if you want it cheap and fast it won't be good.
If you want it cheap and good ,it won't be fast

same here, that is why i posted this as a FEELER. i am gauging the interest that the car attracts. hoping that i can get a ballpark figure for what the car will bring in, in its current condition and then i will asses my motivation and see if i would like to sell it as is or if i would like to take it apart and paint it and redo the interior and sell it in a much better condition. if i can sell the car as is for enough of a profit i will sell it now. otherwise i might try to recondition the car and sell it at later date. then again if i dont think the car will sell at either time for what i would like to get out of it, then i will keep the thing and have some weekend fun at the local SCCA/autocross events.

to do a car right, if your ultimate goal is to refurbish and then sell, you will not make as much. to get an accurate assessment of it's value, you need to support your description with documentation, pictures and paperwork. to simply state some of what you did is like grasping at straws.

100% original, high miles, faded paint, rust free, perhaps 3500.

high miles, repainted done right, no longer 100% original, perhaps 6K, but a quality paintjob in and of itself could be 5K. the more you invest, the less of a return on the overall you will see.

I sent you a PM expressing interest, as I'd like to put this alongside another silver 86 Fox car I have, but never heard back. Do you have pictures to share to illustrate condition?

ed302, i understand what you are saying. i am mostly waiting to get the car to my driveway and clean it up. it is still sitting at my bosses house where it has sat for over a year. as soon as i get it home, i am going to give it a deep cleaning and take a ton of pictures with my new 8mp camera that showed up yesterday. i know you have expressed interest, along with a half dozen others. i was sure i replied to everyone who has PM'd me, but it is possible i missed you. sorry about that.

but yes, i am in a holding pattern at the moment, awaiting pictures and to actually get my hands on the car to bring it to my driveway.

i will keep everyone posted.

pics added. Enjoy, and remember this car has been sitting in an orchard for a full year. The car fired right up when i put the charger on it. It does have an exhaust leak, i think its where the exhaust manifold meets the block. The car was missing alittle but when revved to pull on and off the trailer i could hear the turbo spooling and not a hint of smoke came out of the exhaust even when started for the first time in a year. Oil is clean, trans was just rebuilt, and it has brand new koni shocks and struts on it. Also i have a 3 ringed binder full of literature, reciepts and tech articles about the svo. The owner truely loved this car. I dont know how he could have left it in the trees for so long.

I guess "rust free" means something different in the south than it does in KS.

I am leaving for a much needed week long vacation. The weather turned on me here in the midwest and i was unable to get the car cleaned up. But i did throw on a new set of plugs, wires, a new cap and rotor and fuel filter. It fires right up and idles like a dream. Cleaning up this car is on the top of my list when i return. I have spoke to a local custom interior shop and they are going to take the seats and carpet and deep clean them. I am going to get an estimate on recovering the front and rear seats aswell as the headliner. I may bring them the door panels, center colsole, dash and all the trim inside the car and have them clean and redye the peices as needed to match the origional color.

I will return the day before the Steelers win the superbowl and startworking as soon as my superbowlhangover wears off.
