67 Fastback body and interior - very solid
Bought this a couple of years back but have some other projects that have me occupied. It is an original AC car with power steering and disc brakes. Automatic 289 2V car. There is no engine or transmission.
Car is stripped down to the body except for the brakes/rear end..so I guess it's a roller I have the complete interior with fold down rear seat, except for the front seats. Most of the interior is in surprisingly good shape (the panels are not broken up and are mostly scratch free). I also have all of the stainless trim that goes with the car - some of which is perfect, some will need minor restoration.
Here's the real nice thing. The car has original quarter panels and original fenders, all of which have no rust. The frame rails, trunk, quarter panel drops and underside of the car are perfectly straight and rust free except for a couple of small spots in the front floor pans (which are also the original ones). The car does have some dings and small dents on it and the doors have a very small spot of rust in the usual front bottom corner.
For some reason, the previous owner decided to close up the upper cowl with a welder, so I am including a new upper cowl - I've inspected the lower cowl and it is very solid. I can not find any leaks in it, but I assume there is DOES leak somewhere, due to the front floorboards. The doors close solid and the gaps are amazingly straight. Has all the glass but the front glass is etched and should be replaced.
If you're looking for a car that hasn't been repaired, the repaired again, this is it.
