1978 KING COBRA

SOLD: 1978 Ford Mustang King Cobra (original King Cobra 4-speed T-Top) Fresh 342 stroker done by CRC Racing Inc. Fresh Top Loader 4-speed done by David Kee Top Loader Inc. with a Hurst (inline) V-gate shifter, Lakewood blow proof & Ram long style HD clutch. 9 inch rear, 4:11 gears, Strange steel spool, & Moser Axels done by Babbit Bearing Inc. 6 point roll bar & frame tied done by Grashell Fabrication Inc. Battery is mounted in rear with safety shut off switch. Original gas tank with sump kit, Holley Blue pump, & # 10 braided fuel line with Holley big port fuel regulator. MSD 6 AL box with 2-step rev. limiter tied into Hurst line lock, & electric fan with thermostat. Headman Hustler 1 ¾ inch full length headers, 3 inch aluminized H-pipe, with Dynomax ultra flow mufflers. I fabricated a solid motor plate, cross member, trans. mount, and 2 mid plates that can be adjusted for a 351W to 454W stroker. In 1993 I stripped the cars body to bare metal, had all body work done with (very little body filler) sand blasted & painted the under carriage and has been garaged for last 21 years. The car has all the original body panels and had very little rust when I purchased it in May of 1990. I installed PST polyurethane bushings, new leaf springs, adjustable Koni shocks (front) Competition Engineering shocks (rear) new brakes & hardware, & converted the wheels to 5 lugs with Weld Drag Lites and Hoosier D.O.T. slicks. I installed Fiberglass bumpers (Front & Rear) from Rod N Glass Inc. Car has full interior except headliner and carpet. Everything on this car has been done right with very little altercation. Only 2,017 of these cars were produced with 4-speeds & can be easily restored to original. Over $20,000 invested with receipts. Street driven! Possible trade for Harley Street glide, Road Glide, Classic, or bumper pull RV travel trailer! No Sportsters or fifth wheels! Will accept partial trade and cash! What do you have?
