Question Feeler: 1970 Fastback

A friend is getting ready to sell their 1970 fastback (351w, automatic transmission).
They were asking what they could get for it. I know it's hard to put a number on it without
physically seeing the car, but I think she is wanting a ballpark amount.

Thoughts?

Assuming it has zero rust issues, about 10K for a fastback in that condition would be reasonable. If it has rust issues, lower accordingly. A thorough cleaning of the interior and engine bay would go a long way toward making it show better IMO.

OOOH..lookit those big boogered up holes torched into the shock towers...ugly.
Those are 69 taillights, panel and deck lid. What are the first 5 of the VIN?

I wonder if the car was clipped at some point......I'd check for obvious joints under the carpet, at the A-pillars, etc. At least see if a 69 taillight panel was welded in. Not sure why, if, someone would do that, but there are as many unexplainable mods as there are builders...My money is on a front clip job, and if that is so, the scoopless quarters, if original, would be a Boss 302. Lots of "ifs" with this one. Anyone who knows Mustangs will ask all these questions and many more, so be as prepared as possible.
