Project ls hatch was bought today

Drove 5 hours one way to pick up this car and got a smoking deal on it as well (made the drive worth it) 93 candyish red gt that is pretty much flawless. Car came with complete motor minus rods and Pistons no biggie, upside is it has the 243s! Always wanted to do an ls swap and here's the victim ImageUploadedByAG Free1426648706.383272.jpgImageUploadedByAG Free1426648721.932762.jpg

Thanks man hope to get it finished here soon. Isn't your car a turbo setup?

I'm going for a nitrous build as well. Are you stock bore rods Pistons? If you don't mind me asking? Trying to figure out which way to go with mine.

5.7 was stock shortblock and ran for over 8 years in the Mustang with numerous nitrous passes. was at 150 shot all day no problem. 10's
2nd motor stock 6.0 shortblock runs 10's na and so far 250 shot and still holding.

I paid 2500 for everything. Minus rods and Pistons. The guy had a receipt for the paint a year ago and it was 2400. I think I scored lol.

looks good so far. your in for some fun times. sneak up slowly on the tuneup and a SBE LS will tolerate a great deal of power adder without issue. Good luck with build.

I think you definitely got a great deal!! Lately, I've been scouring several forums, craigslist, ebay, etc (looked at TONS of Foxbodies for-sale ads) and I've only seen a few nice rollers with nice paint in the 2 thousand range. Most ppl are asking 3-5k (for a roller w/ full interior, paint, suspension, etc). Seems like the going rate for a 4 cyl notch roller in good shape is 800-1,300. Hatch rollers I've seen from 500-1,000.
