been a few, the 10:30 NA passes was on a 428 I had, solid roller, 102 fast 102 NW t body Ls3 heads. Still has a/c and still looks the same, sleeper status. Somehow I washed out the rings and had tremendous blow by. I had a list race to run so we pullled the motor that weekend and put in my trusty 6.0 and went 6:70's NA and won with a 6:24 on nitrous. Last night with nitrous I went a new best of 6:18, 1:43 60' @ 106 mph. I have a small tune issue on the shift as I was bouncing on the limiter on that pass. I think I'm going to leave this 6.0 as its so mild I actually can drive this motor across Florida with the a/c on. The 428 was faster but not as streetable, maybe 50 mile cruise. The 6.0 does have killer heads that I had sitting but never tried (glad i did now) TEA stage 3 LS1 heads with Vengence ported Fast 92mm intake and fast 92 T body. Just got lucky on this combination we threw together. My 428 has LS3 heads 102 Fast Nick Williams 102 t body.
the 6.0 use to have the 428 upper stuff. In hindsight I think the LS3 stuff might have been to big for my 6.0. it do go 6:80's but the LS1 headed motor now feels more crisp, torquey ( better description) lol
I have learned a lot about the suspension and making it work. The 428 was just overpowering the chassis and took some work to get it going. Now my car hooks pretty good even on a crappy track. I'm consistent 140's now in the 60'
car just leaves so smoothly its deceiving, no yanking the wheels. I did go to the track for almost a month just testing different things on my suspension and listening to others.
