LS1 in a fox

Ok so im starting my build...

I have so far

complete 6.0 intake to oil pan
4l60e built with 3000 stall
computer
wiring harness

Im going to buy the AJE lsx swap k member and going to try and use the stock exhaust manifold for now unless someone has tryed it and it didnt work..

going to make my own trans cross member and going to use the zo6 vette fuel filter with built in reg for a return... going fuel injection is there anything else im going to need...

any place you guys are getting the AJE K member for less then 400 with spring perchs motor mounts and hardware??

Go to ls1tech.com and the Conversions and Hybrid thread......there is a ton of info on there about the swap. I started my build thread not too long ago. Good luck on the build.

Just an FYI your truck oil pan will not work with the AJE kmember youll need an fbody or cts-v oil pan. Do some searching you'll find a decent amount more stuff youll need.

My truck pan works fine, it's too low to the ground for me though.

Thats what I meant, most wind up cutting and welding for more ground clearance.

I agree... but 400 for dirve by wire pedal wiring harness computer fuse box and all sensors are worth 400 bucks... its like the 4.8 is free and can be used as mock up for the 6.0! make everything work on the 4.8 and once i blow it up if it brakes i swap out for 6.0... plus i get to see what a long tube header and cammed 4.8 will do in a mustang

would be a good motor to see how much nitrous one can handle before it blows

thank you..

got a little further on the build, all the wiring is about done... car now has a f body oil pan on it.. still need to do cold side and install wastegate.. install a inline 255 lph pump ( if anyone has one for sale let me know..) and connect fuel lines to rails... found out Drive by wire throttle bodies don't like boost, they have problems over 12 lbs pushing throttle body open making PCM go in to a limp mode.. so now have to convert harness to cable throttle body... its coming together. hopefully the end of this year she will be ready to make some noise!!!!!

Is that an actual kit or is it something you're piecing together?

Did that K member work out good for you? Looks like a lot of people on here use them. I'm planning a 6.0 swap myself, but not sure if I wanna go through the hastle of boosting or not. I'd really like to but don't wanna go through all of the custom fab stuff for the turbo kit.

Awesome... that's what I was hoping to hear. I'll probably go ahead and do some long tubes anyway for that extra torque... I'm thinking I'm going to go with a stroked a 6.0.

Max out fuel system which is cobra 39lb injectors and a single intank 255 stock fuel lines. 450 wheel

The shop I work for we have a twin turbo 5.3 stock short block with 6.0 cam and heads with 5 layers and head studs maxing out a 1000hp flywheel meth kit and 60lb injectors and 2 255s at there limit. Mad 700 wheel before the meth.. It's in a 2000 Chevy z71. Problem now if front diff transfer case and stock 10 bolt are blown up

Yea something ALOT of people don't know is the 2004 and up ls series motors use a thicker connecting rod. ALOT bigger then the 2003 and older engines.. If you find a motor using all the same length head bolts it has the better rods

lol, open downpipe? sounds amazing.

hopefully everything's ok. tough luck. LSX's seem to have a lot of issues with the oil pump, had a buddy's camaro lose pressure, and he only had like 50k miles
