picked up an 04 Escalade 6.0

I wasn't looking for this engine but when surfing for car parts I found an 04 Escalade with 48K that has all accessories, harness, ecm and is complete with manifolds and torque convertor for 1600$. I feel that I made a pretty decent deal. The truck was a theft recovery and ran but was ruined externally and stripped. I've been reading about these LS engines for some time and feel that even a stock 6.0 will run better with a small cam than a fully built 302. I also like the Idea of being able to use a 4L80E behind it. What do you guys think I sould do? I've got a 93 coupe with 75K and an IRS out of a 99 Cobra. Should I do this to another car or what. SEEMS pretty straight forward but the instumentaion might take some time to get sorted out.

You can go a lot of different ways with the LQ4, which is what you have. It's very easy to make hp with the LS engines, especially if you know what you're doing. I expect around 550-600hp with a junkyard carb'ed LQ4 and L92 heads and the supporting stuff. If you are interested I can give you more details but it's a lot of writing lol!

Hey someone local to me, wow. That's not a bad deal, I have a coupe body that I am going to eventuality do that swap in. I bought it as a roller, I don't know if I would tear apart a good running 5.0 though. Mustang bodies go kinda cheap, then you can build it as you go. Do you get out to the 11st cruises, in Beaumont?
