Been out of the engine building game for a long time. Only one I remember is Schmidt on 30th Street. Non-performance oriented machine shops are a dime a dozen.

Good morning all.

So Colts traded out of first round, which is fine, but all they got was a second round pick next year? Not sure about that unless there's someone they really want that they are certain will drop to them in this draft now that they've moved down.

Caleb and Emily closed on their new house yesterday. Neighborhood is a little sketchy but not horrible. Happy for them.

They are right off I-65 and Raymond, not too far from Garfield park. Not a great area, but not the worst either, and they have an attached garage for their vehicle and two intimidating large dogs so I think they'll be fine.

I think the OU QB will kill it in the NFL. Everyone wants to knock his size and that's legitimate, but in the right system the kid is going to do some really good things in the NFL. He's got more speed and a better arm than Russel Wilson who led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl. He'll be fine.

Good morning all.

Alec's mustang got crushed in a roundabout. Alec said the lady was slurring her words right after the crash so she was probably drunk. Waiting on the police report but thankfully she had insurance. I'm guessing they won't offer much on his car, but luckily I know a decent lawyer. Alec will be okay. Bruised spleen and nightmares about the accident is the extent.

Good morning everyone!

Brian - glad he is ok, and I am with Steve, they can hang her on the front lawn of the courthouse for all I care.

Looking at head restraints for the car. Wow! A lot of options and nothing is cheap.

Thanks Steve, everyone is ok. Still waiting to hear back from the insurance on the quote from their contractor, but so far my patch job is holding up and keeping the rain out.

Dave - I send mine out to be cleaned and flow checked every spring. I use a company in Tennessee. Look up Boosted Injected Services on FB. Nick has always done a great job and normally has them back in less than a week.

Good morning all.

Alec also likes blue and red mustangs so at least I have a little more to work with. He only likes the 2005 and up body style like he had before, but there's not a ton of good used mustangs of that era in the area. So we might be road tripping to find his next stang.

Good morning all.

No rain yet? It's a miracle!

Trying to talk Alec into considering this car:
https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

But he really likes this:
https://www.icarsimports.com/vehicle...f3d23f425d52ad
and this:
https://www.icarsimports.com/vehicle...277682286b6a94

He also still wants a mustang but I've been trying to steer him towards something else, only because he's not a great driver and I think a front wheel drive car is more suited to his ability as a 17 year old.

Good morning everyone!

I received my first new part for the car this year. Well, it is actually for me. Impact Head and Neck Restraint. I have needed it for a while so went ahead and ordered it.

Brian - I like the Focus and the Honda. Definitely not a Scion fan.

Good morning all.

Well apparently the '12-13 focus has a history of transmission issues and other ailments so we're crossing that off our list.

So her insurance is giving him almost $1k more than we paid for the car a year ago and before it had the unpainted fender and bumper cover added to it after he put it in that ditch. So I'm really pleased they offered that much for his car. He'll get some money for pain and suffering because he was hurt pretty badly initially, so he'll be able to upgrade his ride quite a bit.
