Planning to go. Only problem with this race is the staging line are like forever, so you'll get probably 3 runs in at most if you compete... I will likely not run, still have some kinks to work out. It's a good event none the less.

BTW, from the inner harbor (Balto), it's about 90-110minutes, no traffic. I've made it there from downtown DC in 50min

Huh!!!! This is not Midnight Madness. This is an event. You will run more than 3 times alone just on Saturday.

I'll be there. And yeah what he said. There will be lines for the staging area but you will be able to run many times. Check with your local Ford Dealerships too. Many of them have discount tickets for sale.

hey chris, what class do you plan on running? cause if you wanna run the modular class with me, you cant have the TKO tranny, and you have to have Drag radials, and also, you cant have ported and polished heads or p&p intake!

Well, didn't make it on Sat. Found that the ASP pulley from all these years never did fit flush on the damper snout . The misalignment ripped both the S/C belt and accessory belt. Replaced everything this morning w/temporary wrong size belts and spaced out the smog pump pulley w/washers--kept getting S/C belt slip above 4500rpms. So sat the whole thing out today.

I did get some pics today. Will post shortly.

Was that you in the Black cobra? If so man let me be the first to give you two thumbs up! I was very impressed by your car and your driving abilities this weekend. I left after the semi-finals because I was tired of watching two friggen hours of bracket racing between rounds. Anyway man if the black cobra was you, Then I bow to you.

yeah, that was me. My driving was way below par this weekend. I couldn't get it together.

I had a bunch of terrible 60' times. I won in the semi's by pure luck. I staged deep accidentally, and it's probably the only reason I won.

Well your car was making great times, nothing to be ashamed of. You were spinning quite a bit off the line from what I could see. Maybe you were running a bit too much pressure or leaving to hard, who knows? In any case it was still impressive and I congratulate you.

thanks for the kind words.

It's just frustrating when you can't get things straight. I may have a bad shock or something out back. Something is making a lot of popping noise back there. I have to get under the car and check it out when I get a chance.

I'm hoping to get out this Sunday and make a few passes on slicks with a few pounds out of the car.

Yeah shade, great job your car was flying. The modulars are so much faster than stock foxes! I hope they seperate us from the mods next time! Maybe then I will have a chance. But, I digress, it wasnt you that knocked me out, but the maroon fox body!

I think they had the rules set up pretty fair, to be honest. It pretty much levels the playing field.

The cars have just gotten faster and faster. I was just glad that Justin Burcham wasn't running this weekend, lol.

Shade......I saw your car there. I know what class im running next year now. What was the best 60' and 1/8 you pulled?

I tried to run Mild Street, but I rolled out of the beams in round 1 elims and I didnt even get a timeslip. Go figure that it was the only time the car hooked this weekend and I even started to pull on the car I ran. He went [email protected], my best to date is a [email protected] 110, so im guessing that would have been my [email protected] 112 pass with a 1.53 60'. I will never know.....

George, My phone didnt have a signal at the track, because I went to call to see if you made it.

Lloyd

i was hooking terribly that weekend.

i had like a 1.8x 60' for the best, my 1/8's weren't too impressive either.

I had a 1.78 60' on saturday night for 3rd qualifying round, my best 1/8th was a [email protected] that weight was killer, running 3350 lbs sucks, lol.

Heads up racing is a lot of fun, but it's hard to be competitive.

Why'd you run mild? so that you could use slicks?

Damn, those 60's arent good. My best on BFG's was 1.68. On slicks ive gone 1.55 and the best I went this weekend was 1.57, with a worst of 1.69 (worst ever on slicks).

There is no way I could touch that weight. I would have had to put tires and jacks in the trunk to try. lol

I agree that heads up racing is fun, I just suck at a pro tree.

I didnt even look at running stock. I heard that a couple years back the Mild winner only went 11.8's, so I thought I had a chance to be competetive. I didnt know that the big guns were coming from out of town. lol

last year stock was going 11.8. Justin Burchum didn't run this year....

I had my spare in and 3/4 of a tank of gas to make weight.
