Exclamation Rockville B&N 10pm Be There!!!

Alright we have a serious situation here. There is no Mustang representation at the Rockville Barnes and Noble Chill spot! We cannot let this situation go on and have the import crowd think we are outdated/don't love our cars/are ununified.

All who are down to have some fun and remind those "tuners" what real cars are meet at Rockville B&N @10pm on Friday.

How does it sound? Was the price right?

One of the bigest things about ricers I hate is that they are like short guys, it is like they have something to prove to me when I am driving my Mustang down the Beltway. I had no less then 6 Honda's try to race me on my home tonight. I don't want to waist the gas or have them kill anyone because they over do it. What ever happend to the good old days of TA's and Camero's and a few Vette's? Even a 911 or a Boxster?

Just a rant.

Cool looks like it'll be a nice gathering

For those that know, about how much is insurance on an 02 GT? It's getting hard to resist with those great rebates and 0% financing

Price was fine. It sounds great, but not too loud. Just about what I was expecting. Tony did a good job, no rattles, etc. I'm really happy with it. Quiet when you want to be, wails as needed. Now I just need that x-pipe to go with it.

BTW Mass, I pay roughly $125/mo for my insurance. Clean record (well, no accidents at least ) and I have my home policy with them.

I am getting raped by Gieco. I spend over 300/mo for two cars (saturn v6 and my stang) My wife and I have clean records but #####.

Fish, I know what you mean. I got challenged by two 16 year old girls in a dodge Caravan on Randolf road

Same day coming home I got challenged by a TA but the wife and kids were in the car and the wife shot me a dirty look when the TA gunned his engine at me. My wife is not from this country and does not know or care about the fine art of drag racing. I have to learn her but is going to be a slow process--that is why she drives her own car and leaves the stang to me (she can't drive a stick anyway).

Hmmm I'm paying 250 a month for a 98V6 Stang and a 86TA.
The TA only has liability...I think I'm getting screwed
No accidents and only 2 speeding tickets

OK, I checked, $136/mo for full coverage on the 'stang. I went with $1000 deductable on collision though, $500 deductable comprehensive. Like I said, I've been with these guys since H.S., and I have my homeowners policy with them. I still thought this was expensive, but couldn't get a better deal. BTW, the convertible is less expensive to insure according to my agent.

I have 98 Exploder and a 95 GT and I only pay $104/mo for full with Geico. Maybe being in the Navy was not so bad after all... I a $250 deductable and covered too $750k on the Mustang and $500k on the Exploder. I knew I got a military discount, but wow.

Now the hearse has a million on it and that is only $148/month but that is a company car and we have 40 some cars (not all hearses') I think we are using Allstate still.

301Austin, did you install your 3.73's yet? How about contacting Dennis Reinhart for a chip? Did it work out?

Radarluv,

I was already to go with Dennis's setup when my neighbor with a very fast 5.0 and a lot of threads in Corral.net convinced me to go with the Vortech/Steeda set-up. Untill that time I was going to go with usual bolt-ons (gears, chip, intake, T/A & pullys etc) but he told me for a little extra money I could get more hp/$ with a blower and a good tune. So thats the way I am going to go. I still am going to get the gears (will probaby go to Horsepower by Herman) in abut two weeks (I just paid my kids tuition).

I am planning on doing the blower next spring/summer which will also give me time to see if I want to trade the car on a Mach 1!!!

BTW, I have a MAC CAI that has never been out of the box for sale if you know anybody interested!

Be aware of Herman, I have heard allot of bad things about him. Things like not getting what you paid for, and switching to cheaper parts and not telling you. It is 2nd hand info, but I have heard it from a few people. I was going to have him build my 1st engine, but after I heard that, I went some where else.

How much are you asking for the CAI??

The blower was the funnest mod I had. It would light the tires up at 40MPH!

Call Tony Pasta 301-595-5020. He is a one man show but his price is right. radarluv just had his cat back done by him and he seemed happy. He is in Beltsville.

I would even go to ELD before I would go to Herman. ELD did my gears, bearings and driveshaft and they did a nice job. $400 with the gears. I had the bearings and driveshaft.

As to what I was told about HBH, it was 2 years ago and it is hearsay. But I was told by trusting sorces.

Yeah good point. Well, maybe we can just meet there and cruise somewhere else, play pool, etc. May be safer indoors. We can decide when we meet I guess. Anyone else?

I think we'll be safe, even my V6 can outrun a box truck. It's the ricers who have to worry

I'll be there around 9:30 and try and find us a nice spot.

I cannot make it tonight, my wife is dragging me to the Stones show tonight. TRUST ME, I would rather be with you guys tonight. They have not put out a good song since they quit using drugs.

Have fun and show up the ricers...

We did miss you tonite. Radarluv and Mass were there and lots of RICE (I am not including the NSX with the big ass wing though). However, two superchared (vorteched) stangs were representin as were a couple of other GTs.

Hope to see you at MIR.

Peace.
