Marti Report...what's your opinions?

So I personally kind of chuckle when I see people listing their cars as RARE....1 of XXXX.

In a sense it's true, but I believe it misleads both the seller and buyer if they are uninformed?

caveat emptor

A Marti report can confirm details and may even reveal a rare configuration. But as my Father once told me, rare does not equal valuable if nobody wants it.

The "1 of whatever" is kind of neat trivia, but not really beneficial as far as the value of the car.

What is beneficial, however, is the other info that comes with it. Marti report is the only way to find out:
Selling Dealer Name
Selling Dealer Address
Selling Dealer Number
Actual options the car came with

You can get some of the options and such from the door tag, but most of them you cannot. In that respect, they are invaluable.

I definitely agree with you which was kind of the point. The numbers are sometimes fascinating but I believe there are times where it misleads sellers and buyers, or the seller tries to use it to add value.

Either way, to me, it doesn't equate to more value.

As these cars age, some options or combos of options will become more sought after. These reports will support seller claims. That's all.

Nailed it. With how easy it is to swap interiors and options on these the Marti will be valuable to the collector types who barely drive them IMO.

I agree with all.

A Marti Report on a Boss 9 or a 428 Mach does carry a little more with it no doubt!

I didn't think about the "originality part" of the report also....good point!

I read about a super low production Fox recently. A Marti report would help sell that car by proving it's providence.
