1987 notch question for you notch people

I bought another notch today(cheap),1987 factory black with tan leather interior. My question is, how many had tan leather and is it rare? Out of the 250 Mustangs I've owned this is only my second with tan interior.Let the comments begin and thanks for any help

Anyone else wondering what Jonquil is?

And where did those production numbers from? I'd like to see what the numbers have been for my previous stangs. Thanks.

Apollo, can you post the Vin# of the car?

Those with other year cars that want to get an idea can go here

You can find build date and exactly how many were produced with your exact options here

Is it leather or vinyl? My '93 Coupe is an old SSP and it has opal gray vinyl interior. However I suspect the seats were reupholstered.

That's vinyl man. SSP car, I'm betting.

It's minimum 1 of 62 black coupes... TAN pleather being even more rare.

Anyone else thinking one of a kind here?

I dunno about 1 of a kind, but I'd bet there aren't many. If it is an SSP car, I would think the chances of there being duplicates would be higher.

Black on tan is nice. Not sure what it looks like in a Fox Mustang though.

Kevin Marti has the factory invoices for the fox cars, but until he gets them organized, any number is pure speculation. Gotta be rare, though. I've only only heard of one other black over tan coupe.

Tan interior is the rarest color, but all the one's I've seen have been cloth. R Barn here has an LX 'vert that is maroon with a tan top and interior. That car makes my jeans tight.

I picked up the Mustang today,I was going by what the owner said as "factory Black".After looking the car over today the factory color was white not black, however it does have the Tan interior. My mistake, I paid for the car at night so it was hard to see, still a good deal

So are the seats LX style or articulated sport? Are they cloth, vinyl, or leather?

Based on this brochure leather LX seats were not available.
