Difference between L short block and f150?

Hey guys, I have a gentleman that lives near me that has a 99-04 lightning (unsure of exact year at this time) that needs a short block. Just curious if there's anything specific about the lightning short blocks compared to regular 5.4 f150s? I've heard the lightning is just a forged crank? Any info would be great!

The lightning short block has forged pistons and crank, and the rods (the weak link) are powder forged. They are usually the demise of most stock block trucks. All other f150 trucks with the 5.4 blocks I believe at least 99-up have the same block casting and crank. The rest you'd wanna upgrade.
