US east coast here........but I wish I were driving my mustang down there! I'm sure you enjoy eating Holdens with your combo. Are there many mustangs in east Australia?

im in the Mustang owners club of Queensland and there is about 90 cars in total.
there is one S351 Saleen 96 that turns up. Apart from that all the others are classics. No-one has late model ambition. they're all stockers. the Real Holden eating combo ford released in the form of a straight 6 4.0 twin cam turbo.. think it is about 280Hp from factory 6psi.. they have been pulling 450 Hp stock block.. http://www.fpv.com.au/

I will get to that side of the world one day, I like to think it would be a great place to live. Enjoy your summer, It's cold all over the states right now (except Hawaii).

Keep the faith down under. We have 4.5 million people in my back yard here in Los Angeles. Is that 96 S351 red? I thonk I read an article about it sometime back. Like Nut said, I bet you love the slim competition down there.

Yikes! That's an expensive Cobra! I remember about a year and a half ago a friend of mine was in Aus. and the US dollar was equal to about 2 AUS. How much has changed? The US dollar is sooo weak in Europe right now, people are coming over to the east coast of the US just to shop!

take care.

Is there any demand for the newer model Mustangs with the ADR requirement? Isn't it quite expensive for the RAWS conversion?

not sure what the RAWS conversion is.. but a RH drive conversion is approx $18,000AUS. Includes all ADR compliancing. 2001- 2002 cobras sell here for approx $50-$60,000. so if vehichles could be bought and shipped here for $15,000 plus 18 for conversion theres probably some profit and a market in it.. same goes for F150 and Expedition which we dont have..
we do have available new from ford here.:
Focus
fiesta
f250.. these sell around $55,000.. the conversion is done in mexico from memory
f350
explorer the v8 model sells around $55,000 conversion done in mexico to.
aussie built falcons
mazda offsprings the courier ute.. 4cyl models..
and thats about it

So it would be pretty tough to sell a LHD Mustang over there now with the cost conversion being so high?
