Cracked 2V Intake Theory

I've never talked to anyone who has mentioned this, but looking at my 98 2V...Is it possible that the bracket that bolts between the intake and alternator is the culprit? Just a theory, but could vibration from the alternator be causing this? I dunno, I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

I thought the 98s were no longer prone to just randomly cracking? That would pretty much kill your theory

Not to start an argument, but there are 98's that have cracked and have yet to crack.
