Has anybody ever put their MAF inside the fenderwell?

Hey guys,

I have a Pro-M 77mm and a custom cold-air setup and have it shoved inside the fenderwell to get as much cold-air into my intake as possible, but am curious if it is hurting power since the MAF sensor is inside the fenderwell as well. Can anybody comment on this as to whether I should take it out or not? The car is tuned with the car inside the fenderwell but I got to be thinking and I'm thinking the MAF might be having a hard time reading correctly since its isolated to a small corner of the fenderwell.

Any comments are appreciated.

I made something similar to yours, but feel as though it made an improvement.

Intake mod

It was a real PIA to get my C&L in there, but I think it was worth it.

No problem with your mod. The MAF is reacting to what is in the pipe, not where the pipe is. The cold air from the fenderwell should be a help. I have my blower set up similar.

it's a 3" diameter ABS pipe. My friend's car audio store had some lying around so I stole it
