New MAF and have got some popping/backfiring?
I just got a 87mm Granatelli/ProM MAF today and installed it with my Densecharger. I reconnected my battery and let it idle for a little bit. It sounded like it was a slight miss at first then the idle got better. However when I drove the car and got on it a little in 1st (above 3500rpms) there was a slight backfire when I shifted. It also pops/backfires when I am sitting still and revving above 3500. My stock MAF didn't do this with the Densecharger and neither did the C&L 80mm I ran before the Densecharger. Is this just the computer having to learn more? Or is this something regular that I'm going to have to live with?
I don't see why it would be backfiring which indicates a rich condition to me. If anything the larger MAF should lean me out a little. Or could I be too lean?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
