I've got one, but with the stock catback. I've heard that O/R X pipes sound BAD with flowmasters or any other chambered muffler. Haven't heard an X with flowmasters for myself, just what's been said. For myself, I plan on getting a set of magnaflows (straight through mufflers) when I buy a catback.

Could you give me some more info? Does it mostly happen when you are letting off the gas? Or does it only happen when you are getting on it?

Okay, yes, when off the gas from 3k to 2k I do get an "ugly" sucking sound (probably right at the X) from under the car. I usually crack the throttle to get rid of it. I have an automatic so I only really hear that coasting downhill.

I have one installed on my 2002 GT with stock catback and do not have any problem like that.

I also have that type of sound anytime I let of the gas. It is just for a split second. I am running bbk l/t's and stock cat-back wi the vrs x-pipe.

I get the same sound when I let off the gas. It's not very loud but I can hear it. I don't mind that so much just don't like the weird import sound at full throttle, I'm going to put an h-pipe on it.

Sounds like the X is doing its job to me and scavenging those gasses.

Cool VRS o/r X GGGOOOOODDD!!!

I have the X o/r on the snake but not experiencing any blow off sounds. I also have the Flowmaster cat-back coupled to it and the most I get is alot of resonence(sp) when shifting through the gears under lite throttle.Full throttle is just plain obnoxious loud.. I may try some straight through's sometime in the future to get rid of some of the noise.... For your noises I can only suggest checking the bolts and such to make sure your all tightened up. Good luck.

Ok I have the same thing. When ever you let off the gas it sounds like it is sucking air but it is not. I have checked and everything and it is just the X pipe sucking back air. Do you by chance have the Steeda Triax? I do on mine and having that on there might make it more pronounced since you have to take off the rubber dampner. If the noise bothers you you might try shaving that off a little and putting that back on. That is the only fix I can think of. I got use to mine so hang in there you will get used to it

Good luck

The metal gasket on the passenger side headers is prob. broken, I had the same noise with a vrs o/r x pipe, replaced the gasket, and no more sucking sound.. I guess the gasket was flapping when I let off the gas, and thus a sucking noise..
