Post MIL...have anything to possibly do with timing???

Got a question...with an o/r x/h pipe when the o2 sensor trips the MIL is anything affected. I know that i have read that it doesnt mean anything but it seems to me that performance is affected when the light is on, and when you reset the comp everything is back to normal... ..any ideas??
I could just be out of my element....if so let me know it is late
thanks

Rear O2's tripping the MIL will not affect performance, but remember that there is only 1 MIL and that a MIL is not necessarily what you think it is. If you have a scanner I'd suggest checking what the error code is, especially since you think your performance is being affected (meaning that the MIL is not due solely to the rear O2's).

There are numerous Rear O2 sensor related DTC's or error codes.

None of which affect performance. Rear o2 sensors are merely cat monitors, and don't play a role in engine control.

Keep the rubber side down fellas.
