T-56 question

Went to a swap meet today and saw a used t56 for $650. Looked pretty clean but I'm not sure what it came out of. Is there any way I would be able to tell and if it happened to be other than ford does anyone know the compatability issues? I'm guessing the crossmember would be an issue, but does anyone know if the have diff input shaft splines? The price is nice, but will it work.........

If it was $650 i doubt it is for a mustang, either that or there is something really wrong with it

It was 1300 the first day of the swap meet, but this being the last day there were quite a few crossed off prices

Yeah, I asked this because I saw a bunch on ebay for cheap. I was hopin. Even if I had to rebuild it, it still would have been cheaper.
