Changing to 4.10's Difference in E.T?

Does anyone know what difference 4.10's will make for me at the track? I mean average gains considering traction is fine. I have 3.08's now. Thanks!

On 18" rims? Not a whole lot of difference! Gonna make things a whole lot harder than they were before.

I agree with Joe. Depends on your traction. With the stock rims/tires/suspension, my 60' times got worse with just the 4.10s.

Thanks guys, but if you look at my original post you would see "considering traction is fine". I plan to get 10" width tires in the rear and I just want to know what to expect from the gears. thanks!

Okay, then I'm going to guess .2-.4 Could be more, but I haven't heard of too many 96-8 non-PI head cars using 4.10s.

And it really depends on a bunch of other factors like your current 60' and 1/4 times to see what a realistic gain could be.

I am not an expert on the gear thing, but I liked my 3.73's a whole lot in my 98. I only started to not like them when I got the PP 99 heads and have an extra 750rpm's of solid power. Now I need more gear.

So are you going to go with 3.27's then? I'm planning on doing the P/P 99+ heads by fall and I need to know the best gears to go with them, but if 4.10's will make my car a lot quicker now with mainly stock engine then great!
