Dyno Results. Comments please.

Here is my dyno results. The only thing on my car is a Magnaflow catback. How do you think these numbers are? And how do the curves themselves look?

What do you think this car could turn in the 1/4?

Thanks for your comments.

James

240 rwhp and 289 rwtq on a stock 99+GT with only a Magnaflow catback? Actually, that sounds so good it's almost tough to believe! Most stock GTs pull around 220-225 rwhp and 260-265 rwtq. Check out my bone-stock dyno pulls in my sig.

I noticed one thing that seemed a little strange - your correction factor is 1.00. In other words, there was no correction factor - what you pulled was the same as your corrected SAE numbers. Unless the relative humidity, air temp, and altitude of the dyno shop location was almost exactly at the SAE standards, this can't be correct. It's possible that was the case, but I'm pretty sure your temp is below the SAE temp. Lower ambient air temp (lower than SAE standard) would get more hp from - uncorrected, that is.

So, is it possible the shop isn't set-up correctly, or that they forgot to factor in the correction factor? It's odd that it's 1.00.

Not meant to flame, it's just awfully high for a mostly stock car.

None taken... I totally understand what you mean. Here are the results from the other 99+ GT's that were done the same day (within 2.5hours).

2000 GT Auto (stock) - 215rwhp and 265rwtq
2001 GT 5-spd (stock) - 233rwhp and 288rwtq
1999 GT auto (headers, chip, other stuff) - 237rwhp, 280 rwtq
2002 GT 5-spd (Headers, catback, 70mm TB, CAI) - 236rwhp, 282rwtq
2001 GT 5-spd (stock) - 227rwhp and 278 rwtq

Mine also has a K&N drop in (no gains though).

As for the CF. It was a bit cooler than normal, and it was pouring rain (that may add humidty). Air pressure that day was way below STD pressure. Overall I think its quite possible that it all worked out to a 1.00 CF. And as you can see, the other GT's were in the ballpark of what I would have expected. Everyone there was asking what was done to the car. Unfortunately all I could tell them was the minimal exhaust work.

Any other comments? 1/4 mile ET estimates?

Thanks,
James

My numbers are lower than yours. 234hp and 270torque. I am turning 13.44 at 102. Your numbers are really high. If these numbers are correct you have a potential BEAST on your hands. Good luck.

Thanks. The numbers do look good. I just need to learn to drive the pig. I don't think my shifting is that bad, but my launches are crap. My best 60ft (out the entire 5 runs I did) was 2.214.
