No '02 Flowmaster cat-back listed - will 01 fit?

I called Jegs - and they do not have a catback Flowmaster for the '02's yet - then I called Flowmaster - and they haven't tried putting the '01 model on the '02. Does anyone know whether the '01 will fit on an '02? Without having to modify anything that is.

I need to have a take-off system so I can change it out when I have to get it inspected - so I'd rather not get mufflers welded on - if you know what I mean.

Thanks in advance.

thank goodness we don't have inspection here in alabama, but i always thought mufflers would pass inspections. its when you replace the stock h-pipe for an o/r h-pipe or x-pipe that will cause you to fail inspection

i had flowmasters welded in on my '01 and they are great... you only have to worry if you replace the catalytic converters... a cat-back system does not do this...

Thanks guys - Booger- did you weld in the 2 chambers or the 3 chambers? Is the inlet size 2.5? Maybe I'll go the welded in route - seems like it'll be a lot cheaper....

It should work fine. As long as you don't mess with the cats, it won't void any warranties or (shouldn't) fail emissions as long as you have mufflers.

The American Thunder cat-back works just fine on my 02. It rubbed a little at first but that was my fault, fixed now.
