Clutch problems-help!

My clutch all of a sudden is starting to feel like it's stiff or sticking. Have any of you guys had this problem, and what do I look for to fix it?
could it be low on fluid? It doesn't do it all the time, But it seems to be doing it a little more and more every day. I've never worked on a hydraulic clutch before, so I could use the help.

Its not hydraulic...If you been running the stock clutch since 1996 its probably time for a new clutch set-up, pressure plate, disk, flywheel and pilot bearing..Very easy to install, very similar to a T-5, Tremec TKO if you have done those ...DA Snake boy!!!

It's a 98 gt... the clutch doesn't seem to be slipping or anything, and the car only has 54k miles on it.

In my opinion if you have the money I would just go with a new clutch. I have 39K on my 98GT and will most likely be getting a new clutch the yr. some time

You shouldn't need a new clutch yet unless you absolutely beat your car. My 97 Cobra has 60K miles on original clutch and it is still going strong--and I don't drive it like a little old lady either. Take it to a good shop and have it looked at. Just my $.02

if you drive a lot of short trips, your clutch cable could be fraying or dry. more of a pain crawling around underneath to change. good luck bobn

Thanks for the input guys! I'll try looking under the car and check the cable first.
