Question tell me the best White Face Gauge

I am looking for a new addition for my 2000 GT and I think it is going to be white face gauges to match the outside white and white vents. I don't want it to be ricey but I do want it to also look good at night. Can everyone chime in and tell me some experiences good or bad about diff brands or what I should pay special attention to? Indiglo or reverse indioglo. some web sites would be helpful!!!

I would suggest you search the mod forum for more info. I have the MAC's. They were $60 or $70 bucks. There are quite a few out there. You can crazy with choices. If you want something very close to stock, go with the MAC's.

MAC white face gauges are the closest to OEM look that I have seen. Definately do not get Speedware from Brothers becasue they are more blue than white.

yes I've done all the searches here as always (which I would recommend to anyone before posting a question) but have found that most people said that it (MAC) only lights up halfway at night or at least in twilight. have yall found this true or is it all in the install? I really like that one pic posted that has a GT in the tach but I don't know if that is just a sticker or what.

It looks good at night. Yes, at twilight it's not as bright as the OEM's. Then again, how long does twilight last? Ten, fifteen minutes?

BTW, the cluster is a straight bolt in! No extra knobs, buttons, switches, wires, yada-yada-yada. I didn't have to mess with pulling the needles off or anything. Roush did all the work. Sure it costs more, but I'm not going to be disappointed with the craftsmanship down the line. Besides, working at Roush kinda makes the decision to use Roush mods alot easier! Later!

my MACS look good in the day, but at night they are kinda ugly some of the numbers are brighter than others. I was disappointed after I put then on. I think I'm going to go with the indiglo ones.

I am really hoping to find a set of reverse indiglo gauges that don't cost an arm and a leg. Has anyone done this?

White Face Gauges

Sorry to read 96BluOvl didn't like his MAC'S. Mine look great both day and night, at night they look just like factory. The only time they look a little weird is at twilight but I've read all white faces look that way. You just turn the light down for a few minutes and they're ok. The big thing to remember is to "shave" the spotweld points where the old gauges were attached with a razor blade so that the plastic mounting plate is perfectly smooth or you will have uneven lighting at night. It took me months to get up the nerve to do the install but now I'm so glad I did. Believe me, the main thing is to take your time, be patient and pay attention to the details and you'll love the results. Good Luck!

The Autometer cluster is available on their website. I didn't check the price, but it looks pretty good.

Courtesy of NorthwestGT , here is a pic of the BBKs. They look awesome during the day and almost as good as stock at night, but not as bright. Don't know how well they show up in the pic, but the numbers and hash marks are a really nice blue. Well worth the time and effort. If it were to do it again though (the needles are a pain), I would get the indiglos that have the slit in them as pictured above with the GT label on the speedo. Also much brighter at night as the whole damn thing lights up.
