Thumbs down shifter noise

took my aftermarket shifter out yesterday (pro 50h) i know they are notorious for shifter noise, but put the stock one back in, and it is worse than the pro 5.0 what gives???? i am selling my car, that's why i took it out.

Did you check to be sure you didn't misplace any of the rubber bushings? Did you keep the stock inner rubber boot? I thought you had to cut it to get the Pro5.0 on... I could be mistaken though.

You could probably glue the inner boot back together. Or maybe even sew it back together with some thread. The closer to original that you get that shifter boot, the less noise it will make. You may want to try adding some more rubber insulation between the handle and the shifter base.

Good luck.
