MAF and Chip question

I plan on taking my Cobra in for a dyno in the next few days and would like some information if possible.

First of all the car is supercharged and still has the stock MAF from ford, do I need a bigger one and if so how big? The blower is putting out 8psi. Also I will be putting on bbk long tubes and a O/R H pipe if that makes a difference.

My second question is about chips. The place I have found that dyno tunes up in Phoenix uses superchips for his tunes. For some reaon I had a feeling that most people perfer Autologic chips. Is their a performance or safety reason why autologic chips are better? He says he can only burn superchips so if they are not safe I would have to do a mail order chip, anyone have good luck with the SHM, Steeda, or JMS chips?

Thanks for your help.

I'm not a real experienced guy, so I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can (as I am faced with the same situation).

Your sig doesn't mention your fuel system, I am assuming that you are only using the components provided with the Vortech kit. I've done the same except I'm going with an intank pump and an adjustable FPR (before my tune). My biggest concern was/is going with a safe conservative air/fuel curve. I'm looking for power in the 390-400 rwhp range. I had the C&L in my car originally, but I have since put back in the stock meter for fear that I would risk running the car too lean.

I think Autologic is the preferred tuning program by most because it allows the programmer greater latitude in terms of controllable variables. IMO, on a blown application, I'd rather have a custom tuned Superchip than a mail order.

Good luck,
Brian
