Question Idle problems with blower...

Okay, so i finally got my blower install done and there is only one problem. It has a tendency to idle ~1700-2000rpm. If i tap the gas it goes up and usually comes back down to ~950. Anyone ever had this problem??

By the way it is an 01 GT with the bullitt intake and a vortech V2-SQ with aftercooler running the vortech chip. Thanks.

same here...

Hey there,

I was just having the same problem last week in addition to some idle problems when the car was warming up... it would drop down to 300-400 rpms for almost a minute and then stall. I talked with some people on the corral and in NJ (LaRocca) and conlcuded that my IAC (Idle Air Control) Motor had gone bad. I took it off, saw some common carbon build up inside... nothing to bad and decided to replace it. Mine was $52 at Ford and the problems have since gone away. Hope this helps...

I actually thought about that but figured since my idle was too high, as opposed to being too low or stalling, it wouldn't be the problem. I will check it out tonight though...
