Thumbs up steeda triax

Hey everyone, just a note to say thanks on all the advice given on here on aftermarket shifters and installs. I put in my triax over the weekend and am loving life. Just a question though...my stock shifter knob keeps coming loose. Should i just get an aftermarket one or what?

did you use both of the screw on nuts? if so and your stock shifter knob falls off, get one that tightens down with an allen wrentch.

My stock knob wouldn't stay tight either... Gave up and got a Fat Knob. Love it, bit louder than stock though. Looks and feels great.

I didn't have a problem with mine staying on. I just had to use both of the nuts. However I went with a gripper knob with the cobra emblem from MGW because It was free. Opps my mistake, I only used 1 of the nuts, not both of them. I had bought a billited Steeda knob where I had to use both nuts. My mistake. For my stock knob, I had to use only one nut. Try that.

I will give a second vote to the fat knob - I have a triax with a fat knob and love it.

I have the Steeda knob that I purchased to go with the Tri-ax. It feels great, and would recommend it. I do think that ANYTHING would be an improvement over the stocker, though. I was going to change the stock knob even before I decided on the Tri-ax... I hated it that much! It just felt cheap and plasticy. Go with an aftermarket knob, you won't regret it!

White is Ivory White, Black is Glossy Black.

The special edition Silver was a limited run only, if you want, email him and see if he has any left. They go really well with the 01 Cobra's.. The color is somewhere between the white of the gauges and the grey of the seats. These also have a metal core compared to the normal fatknobs.

Give Mike a email, he will take care of ya.

Anyone have pics of the silver fatknob? Just got a Tri-Ax and I'm looking for a silver/billet aluminum knob to match interior.

I'll take a pic for ya, but it's not SILVER SILVER..

It's sort of how I described it above.. If you have a 01 Cobra or have access to see it. The color is in between the gauges and middle parts of the seats.
