Naturally Aspirated Power.

Ok Guys Im really looking for some info on how much power can be had out of a Naturally Aspirated Cobra. Here is the combo I was thinking. P/P heads, Reground Cams, Reworked Stock intake or an aftermarket such as PHP, Long tubes, and all of your other basic bolt ons such as TB, pullies, Exaust etc.

What kind of RWHP could i make with a setup like this?

Nextly what kind of power could i make If I was to do a rebuilt with some higher compression pistons and the foollowing combo.

Thanks Guys, I really havent been able ot get any solid answers and i need help!

Around 350rwhp with a stock bottom end. And a little more with higher compression pistons.

Less than a handfull of people have done what you are talking about, which is why you are not getting to many replies.

Well, my knowledge on cobras isn't the greatest, but my adding skills are! Estimating the prices of what you want to do along with labor is not at all economical compared to just putting on a vortech and seeing an instant 400 rwhp and being done with it.

This would explain why Ron99Cobra said that only a hand full of people have done this.

I have a 98 N/A Cobra thats pushing 410 FW hp, well according to the G-tech and it has the works, I will be getting it dynoed through Shaun at Diablo motor sports, but my car will stay with a blown 351 no problem. My Stang took alot of tuning and its still not quite done but its running really mean, here's my list..

.020 Forged Arias Pistons 11:5.1
Forged Cunningham Rods
Stage3 p&p, 5 angle valve job
Accufab SB throttle body
C&L MAF
BBK Inlet tube
S&B 11 inch racing filter
SVO pullies
BBK long tubes O/R h-pipe
Flow master cat-back 2 chamber
Diablo 4 bank Chip (God Send)
TKO tranny
Lakewood BH
Mcleod sintered iron clutch disk
Mcleod billet steel FW
Valeo pressure plate
FMS Aluminum DS
4.10 gear

It will do 13.09 at 110 mph , They dont allow slicks at the tracks so I run it very carefully with me street tires, until Im half-way through second gear then I can get on it, but I can beat 750 motorcycles, I beat my buds Suzuki all the time...DA Snake boy!!!

I'm making 325-330 RWHP with the stock long block and the mods in my sig. So, I agree with Ron, 350-360RWHP with the head work and cams.

96 Ford Cobra, PHP Stage 2 intake, All the bolt-on's, SVO Ceramic Headers, Bassani Off-Road X-pipe, Borla XR-1's, and The New 4.56's are in!

Well

I do have a supercharger right now and i know it is easier. It is also a headache sometimes and you have to be very carefull with it.

Ron99cobra's time is just about ideal for whati was looking for 118Traps NA is something impressive to me. I would like ot know more about your combo?

Here is the list:

-Stock heads ported by Houston Performance.
-SHM Cams stage II specs.
-Shortened runner intake manifold,
ported and polished all done by myself.
-BBK long tube headers w/off road H-pipe.
-BBK 62mm T-body
-Pro-M 87mm mass air meter
-ASP under-drive pullies.
-UPR Power pipe with big mouth K&N air filter.
-Cobra R aluminum flywheel
-Aluminum drive shaft
-Trac tech C-locker
-4.56 gears.
-GKN stage III half shafts
-Autologic chip with dyno tune.
-3.7" bore, re-sleeved cobra block.
-Custom JE Pistons 11:1 compression
-Eagle rods
-Stock Cobra crank
-SHM oil pump gears and trigger wheel

Stock suspension (soon to change), stock front tires and ET streets out back at the strip. Soft 1.7 60ft with the IRS. That is also without powershifting. Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you a couple of vid clips of the car going down the strip.

BTW 97MattGT is right, cheaper to supercharge, but I don't like being like everyone else. Besides by the end of summer my car will run the 1320 quicker than most of the supercharged Cobra's on this board.
