Checking with my buddies at Ford, tell me although the MSRP is 36k, many if not most dealers will probably include a 10K mark-up. No deals to be made because Mustng fans will pay for that price.

You also live in CA. The prices here are much different. I have done been offered a '03 Cobra for $1000 over invoice, YES you read correctly! Decent prices are available at the right place if you know where to look. My vote is to go for the '03 Cobra and start whooping some LS1 ASS!!!

96 Ford Cobra, PHP Stage 2 intake, All the bolt-on's, SVO Ceramic Headers, Bassani Off-Road X-pipe, Borla XR-1's, and The New 4.56's are in!

MSRP here in CA. Shop around like I did and you should be able to find one for MSRP. If there are any left.

Is it possible to say where in SoCal the dealeri s offering even the MSRP. My partner is looking to upgrade from his '99 Sallen to the '03 Cobra. He hasn't been able to locate a dealer with a resonable price.

So Cal. That's your problem right there.

Worth a drive to NV.

FYI, just moved to Ohio (from Sacramento). Talked to the three main Ford dealers here in Columbus, all three selling at (or even below, possibly) MSRP. All three offered MSRP in writing. Thats 3 for 3.

Absolutely none are marking up. Weasel Cal car dealers. Again, drive to Nevada.

You have to shop around. I called 15+ dealers and e-mailed 30 dealers in and out of state before I found one about 55 miles away. Look around.

Not a dime over sticker here in the Wva Ky area. My dealer said he might be able to pick up the BS fees like "dock fee" and such if I would be willing to pay sticker.

04 Screaming Yellow Cobra - pretty much stock.
458 rwhp, 435 rwtq.

I've considered selling my car and trying to find an '03 Cobra, but I'm pretty sure there are no dealers around here that have any still. Probably all spoken for already. Plus, I've got so much in my car right now, I'd hate to just sell it.

Decisions, decisions...

KEEP the GT!!!! Who cares about a warranty- HELL if you get the 03 your going to change the pulley like the rest right??? If so then, forget about the warranty. Keep the GT save $10 grand- Put a turbo or sc with a built shortblock- you can make 500+hp easily--- blow the 03 cobra away!!!
Not that I hate the cobra-but everyone is making such a freakin deal over 390hp. Yes thats great- I am glad Ford finally put some power with it but your GT can be made faster with less money. Plus if your into drag racing your going to want to get rid of the IRS in the cobra and get a solid axle-- so its really a no brainer to me-but thats just my opinion. Good luck.
