Question 01 DOHC Stang, Gears and Exhaust???

Im putting a 2001 Cobra motor in my GT. The car has the 4r70w Auto trans. What gears do you guys reccommend with the Cobra motor and auto? Thinkin 4.10 or 4.30. Also Im lookin to redo exhaust I have MAC prochamber and cat back I love it but neighbors and cops iN NJ hate it. I need somethin with cats and is a lil quieter but I want the V8 muscle sound. Thinkin of Magnaflow X pipe with cats and Steeda cat back. Any other combos? X or H pipe, to help with the lack of the low end torque that the DOHC have (so im told).

I just installed 3.73's in my 5 spd. I love the sound of my Bassani Cat Back. I will be adding a high flow cat X-pipe soon with LT's????

Go with 4.30's. I've done both and the 4.30's will make you a happier camper. If you just going to drag race go 4.56's. If your doing a serious poweradder you could stick with the 4.10's.

The 4.30's are nice.. the bassani cat & cat back will open up the top end a little too so it's a nice pair. Add a timing adjuster and the combo will REALLY wake up the motor.

so with say an 8-10psi Supercharger 4.30 will be ok?

A catted H-pipe will give you the sound you want. I ran my stock H-pipe with the Magnaflow catback, for awhile, and it sounded mean and gnarly. The X-pipe is much more refined.

Yes engine wil be all forged well the internals will. Billett cams and Ported and Polished heads and Intake.

Very cool. You should talk to Shannon Wheeler (aka TheGame) about the FR500 4V heads. He was working out a set a little while back. Haven't seen his flow numbers yet.
