How do the Saleen/Roush intercoolers work?

I was wondering what the difference is between the
Saleen & Roush intercoolers and the Vortech Aftercooler.
They're both air/water right? Is the type of blower the only difference? Roots vs Centrifugal? I do realize that the air is being cooled before the blower with the Roots and after with the Vortech. Otherwise, are these intercooler setups essentially the same?

Thanks for the insight!!!

The air is being cooled after the blower in both cases. Since ambient air is used to cool the water in the intercooler you would never be able to cool the air if you put the cooler before the blower. 70 deg in being cooled to 70 deg= 70 deg; if that makes any sense. It is the hot air after the blower compresses it that needs to be cooled.

the way the saleen blower works is the Intercooler is like a small radiator that sits underneith the blower, it's like a small radiator, that air passes through, cooling of the charge. The vortech aftercooler works the same way, it sits on the discharge tube (tube from blower exit to throttle body)
