SERIOUSLY, HAVE A QUESTION

ok last night me and a couple of friends were driving around. we got caught at a light and they told me to spin them when the light changed. so it changed and i laid in to it,NOTHING, not even a chirp. i was like wtf, so tried it again and nothing. it never spins, just hooks and go's. they were telling me that 1)its was a good thing, a advantage and 2) cause it is hard burning my tires cause i have 315/35/17 on back. is this true or is something wrong here.my mods are in my sig. sorry it so longand thanks for the help

Well, depending on the size of your friends, the added weight will hinder your ability to spin the tires. And 96-98 GT's are renowned for poor their poor power output (i.e. crap heads).

It's impossible for me to spin the tires on my '96 GT when my two, rather large, friends are riding with me.

Oh, didn't notice you have a convertible; makes even more sense now!

I had 245/45, on my v6, I couldn't spin them worth anything. I think it is pretty normal with such large rear tires that you wouldn't be able to spin.
