OK so who knew that the 99 35th wing is not the same as the 2001 wing?

it is not the same part.

I replaced my damaged 35th wing with one off a 2001 and the 2001 has a lip on the top. it's not that noticable if you dont know waht to look for but it is there.

I'm thinking that the ridge was add to help strengthen it or may to add a bit of down force "apperance"

So who else knew and didnt tell me .... huh? huh?

More!

I bet nobody told you that the lower side moulding is different between a 35th and a GT!

yeah! that 35th rocker moulding sure is cool. slicker than the gt moulding for sure.

is it just me, or is the scoop different, too? it looks more understated on the 35th, a little taller on the 2001. ??

Hood?

Never noticed. Then again, I have a raised cowl hood.

I'm not sure what you mean on the wing??? I've seen both and neither looks more agressive to me. What do you mean???

Yeah, my 35th was rear-ended a coupla years ago and the other driver's insurance company apparently got a steal on a GT wing. They installed and painted it without telling me and when I came to inspect/pick it up, I was like "What the fudge is that?" (I prefer the 35th wing.) They probably thought I wouldn't notice or be too anal about it. They were wrong...

Anyway, I made 'em take it off and find a 35th. They were pissed, but what could they do? They're supposed to return it to the form it was in before the accident. (They screwed with me a tad too much when I was trying to get them to repair the car so I was partially getting them back!) I like the 35th anniversary look. Although I've finally given-in and bought a Bullitt hood scoop.
