Do Mass air flow + cold air induct. work together?

I'm thinking of getting a new mass air flow meter and cold air induction on my 96 Cobra. As of now I have stock injectors, and would like to order a Densecharger CAI kit, w/ a Pro-M MAF meter. I'm told that these two sometimes can be a bad combination, is this true? Anyone w/ this setup?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but for every good thing I hear about changing my MAF, two people tell me something bad -- they say the stock is all we need. I haven't changed mine yet, still trying to decide. However, my local shop just told me the Pro M Univer works great with CAI.

Ive heard that the cold air induction can throw off the signal to the maf. Because the maf is not calibrated for the curve. Causing your car to run rich or lean. If you want a cold air induction and maf setup the wms velocity tube looks good. I know they calibrated the maf for the curve.

The stock MAF is fine for stock injectors.
