Planning to do a tune up on a '97 cobra this weekend. Wondering what is the best spark plugs to run in the car and at what gap. NA motor with minor bolt-ons.

Thanks,
Todd

I planned on using the AWSF22C's from motorcraft...but it was to much of a hassle to find a dealer that had them...most hadn't heard of them...so I just went with some double platinum Autolite APP674's today...haven't gapped them yet but I'm going to set them at around [email protected] at Advance Auto Parts...don't have to change them as often like the coppers...

Quote from my motorpool sargeant in the US Army

" Hell, I wouldn't even put Autolite plugs in the enemys car."

I got my motorsport plugs at Auto Zone.

Question

I guess my biggest question is platinum or not? The car will remain NA and I want to install the best plugs possible. Any suggestions??

Plugs

I've got Autolite Titaniums in my 2000 GT and They run great, good starts, smooth idle and good power and mileage. They are a double platinum plug.

NGK TR55 for N/A and NGK TR6 for power adder. I use the TR55's and have no complaints but I might try the Holy Grail plugs next. [AWSF22C]
