Question Need help with part #'s

What is the difference between 16016 and XR16016 on a 2001 GT?

Could someone look this up for me?

Sorry... Let me explain further.

I bought a new 2001 GT last August. When I looked the car over at the dealership, I noticed the front left fender was out of alignment. I didn't think too much of it. Later that week, I washed the car for the first time and noticed a paint "defect" on that same fender. It looks like the primer was not sanded enough before the clearcoat was applied. I can post a picture later if that helps. I also had to get my front end aligned because it was off "from the factory."

Yesturday, I noticed part numbers stamped (pressed) into the fender when I popped the hood. The good fender on the right side is stamped with 16015, while the left one is stamped with XR16016. I was wondering if XR stands for factory replacement.

I think the car may have been damaged in transport, and they replaced the fender without telling me. Is there any way for me to find out if something happened in transport. If damage was done and corrected, is there a record in Ford's system?
