Question NOW Borla vs. Bassani...????

Thanks for the information from everyone on my last thread but now I wonder should I spend the extra money on either Borla or Bassani and is it worth it? Or should I just make a decision on MAC or FlowMaster? Thanks in advance.

I love my Borla's and highly recomend them. If you want a sound clip go ahead and drop me an e-mail. My favorite part is that my car doesn't sound like every stang in town. Good luck!

MasonGT, My email is [email protected], thanks for your advice and sound clip. I have not heard may good things about Borla on Mustangs. I was also looking at MagnaFlow since they are SS. Decisions, decisions......

How about both! Bassani X-pipe with a Borla cat-back! Now that is some sweet sounding exhaust! Please, no droneMaster, eveyone and their grandmother has that...

Borlas

I went to a Auto X last Sunday and saw a guy with a 96 GT with Bassani O/R X Pipe and Borla Cat Back and it sounded great!! I'm going with O/R X Pipe and Magnaflow I believe unless I can get a good purchase on Borlas, but the owner of that mustang and another cobra owner at the event both told me that magnaflow is even better! Hopefully it is b/c I've pretty much made up my mind on Magnaflow. Are you going to be using the stock h pipe? That makes a big difference. Thanks!

I would choose Bassani for a couple of reasons...

#1. Looks. These things come with monster tail pipes, no rinky dink baby tail pipes like Borla's.

#2. Baffles. The tailpipes have removable baffles to eliminate the Drone.

#3 Cost. They are slightly cheaper.

#4. Sound. They sound beefier and more muscular then the borlas.

Exclamation Another choice(I know I know, Sorry!)

I know the last thing you want is another option, but I think you maybe should look into Dynomax Ultra Flows, they will give you comparable sound to the Borlas and Bassani's but at about the same price as the MAC's or Flows. BTW I'm not stating this from personal experience, but from advice people gave me. Thanks!

I love my borlas. They don't drone that bad, but on the highway, the sound is great at about 4500rpm under load! The kit was excellent in quality and they bolted in perfectly. I like not sounding like every other mustang.

I love my bassani. If you leave the baffls in it is not much louder than stock (great for long trips on the interstate) but when you take out the baffles it has a great deep sound that roars when you get into the throttle. And yes the tips look great

Adding to venemousmofo's post...

#5. Borla caters to vettes too much. Bassani has it's Mustang faithfuls.

Bassani's all the way. When I took my Bassani's out of the box I just stared at the tailpipes...wicked quality and sound. The removable baffle is the cats buttocks.
